Wow. I've neglected this page for over a year. It surely doesn't seem like a year has flown by. So much has happened over the past year. I'm working towards backtracking and updating the blog with mini posts from the year. PROMISE!

Our Halloween [oct. 27th] in Baton Rouge was spent at LSU's Boozar, a program put on by LSU athletics. Natalie enjoyed it very much, as you can tell!
We spent the real Halloween in Vidalia at Trunk R Treat but I forgot my camera! I'm sure Mimi will have pictures of that up soon!

This is our new addition to the family. A birthday present for Natalie from one of our friends. The turtle's first name was Penny but was quickly changed to Cinderella. She often names things after favorite movie characters & in case you did not know...Cinderella is her absolute favorite Disney Princess.

I guess we shall see how long with will last, either she will lose interest or we will not have time to clean his tank & be sickened by the smell..I will keep you posted.

But for now, this is our new pet, Cinderella the Turtle!

Nat experienced her first ballet camp these past two weeks & loved every minute of it.
She stayed in Vidalia for those two weeks--hard time for mommy & daddy :(
But today made it worth while, we experienced Natalie's very first "in-studio showcase"
& we enjoyed every minute of it.

Although we were not too thrilled about Nat being gone for two weeks, we knew this was something she longed to do, something she loved & something that would make her happy.

And as parents, it made us happy to see our little girl experience another first in her life.

This past year flew by & what a year it was! A year full of many first and lasts.
We were back in Vidalia for our anniversary so we did not do anything really special.
We did eat our cake topper & I must say it was still delicious.
& Jami made us a cheesecake, delicious also.
I guess you could say we loaded up on all the sweet things we DON'T need!

Friday Flashback: BIG MOMMA & LITTLE CHEESER!

Me at about 8 months pregnant..if not further along. This was taken at one of Cameron's tournaments in Denham Springs. It was extremely hot and I was being a good girlfriend by wobbling around to support him! :] I'm pretty sure this was at the ball park where the restrooms were at the entrance and the field Cameron was playing on was at the very back...yep, I was definitely being a good sport.

As you already know, Natalie is such a cheeser. This is proof that she has been cheesing for quite some time now. However, in all her cheesiness, she is still too cute!
This photo was taken in Hot Springs, Arkansas in 2006. The Gin Show was there that year and we were lucky enough to join! My family use to go to Hot Springs every summer back when I was younger so it was nice to go back. We went to the springs to capture Natalie's one-year-portrait. Such a fun trip & this little CHEESER enjoyed it very much!

After a long, rough school year,

it's officially over.

I have completed my first year of college!

& oh how wonderful it feels.

I can't even explain the amount of relief-

My gpa won't be a 3.0 like last semester but it's pretty close.

I guess everyone has their bad semesters

& I hope this was my one and only.

But considering my situation,

I'm happy with the outcome of this semester.

I will do better next semester though!

Anyway..I'm just glad to have a year over with

& to be able to say that I did it! :)

The downside of today:

Now I will go pack & clean

since I didn't get anything else accomplished this week

except for studying.

Going to see my love bug tomorrow.

We are counting down the days..

i love you so much.

I have never been away from Natalie for over a week. This semester Cameron and I decided to send Natalie back to Vidalia/Frogmore to stay with our parents. The week before finals and the week of finals...because we really felt that we needed to focus on finals.

This is the first day of week two and its getting unbearable. I know that finals are very important but gosh I miss that beautiful little girl and her sweet smile.

I can't wait for this week to be over & I'm hoping that it will fly by. I'm looking forward to seeing her face light up as she runs into my arms. A summer full of family time and fun.

This weekend Mimi and Poppa came to Baton Rouge to shop and see Natalie. Friday we went to the Santastic at the Mall of Louisiana. Natalie was very excited...until we got in line and she claimed that she was "just a little scared", but she did fine when she got in Santa's lap and told him everything she wants for Christmas.

She looked adorable in her Christmas tutu! Between Jami and I, someone should have pictures up soon.

I found it hilarious that she wanted a baby doll that DOES NOT CRY! When Cari had her baby for school Natalie would say that she did not want to hear it cry so I guess she wanted to make sure she did not receive a baby like that! Cute huh!

We also went to Build-A-Bear and Natalie created a Panda Bear. She fell in love with her bear before it even 'came to life' or 'got stuffed'. She is so loving and nurturing to her baby dolls/stuffed animals. And it is the cutest thing ever.

Overall we had a great weekend and we are looking forward to our "First Christmas as a Family"..you know what we mean! We will have our Christmas very early, on Monday--the 22nd. Since Natalie came along, we have always had Christmas with Cameron's family the 23rd, his extended family the 24th, and Christmas with my family the 25th, then to my extended family sometime after.

I promise to post pictures of our little bitty Christmas tree :]

New Look

It is time for a an update and I wish I had pictures to post but I don't at the time.

I am working on converting this site of "Natalie's Tigerland" into a "Ainsworth Family" blog. I just don't know how I want to do it. I got this layout from a free site just because it matched a collage I made of the 3 of us. I like it but I don't know if I am completely happy with it.

I wish there was a cute, catchy name I could come up with for our blog like "The Glenn Gang" ...but nothing really goes with Ainsworth :[

Anywho...Cameron's input was this: "Once Upon A Family.....An Ainsworth Tale", I think that is really cute but I just haven't decided...any opinions, thoughts, & so on would be appreciated!

Last night we switched Natalie's room and the office so she can have a bigger room. She loves it! When I told her she was getting a new room her first response was: "Is it going to be Diego??" Sadly, I said no it will still be Dora, and that she would just have a bigger room. And she replied, "But..I don't want it to be Dora.." She's a character! But she will have to stick with the Dora theme for now and I know she will be happy with leaving it that way. I will post pictures when we get everything in place!

It is snowing today down here in Baton Rouge. It does make me sad that Natalie is not here for us to make a wee little snowman, or atleast attempt to make something. I do miss her very much. If you are wondering why...Natalie went to stay with Nana & Mimi this week so Cameron and I could focus on finals. It has been hard being without her but I know that we would not have been able to study with her here.

Every other school is closed today with the exception of LSU, go figure. But the good thing is that today is mine and Cameron's last final and then we are done with the fall semester. I can't believe that I am a semester into college and before I know it I will be done with my first year. Am I making anyone feel old yet??

Anywho, I am just rambling and now here is the real reason for this post:

I just love this image of these two. This was right after Natalie got her ears pierced. You can tell that Cameron is a proud daddy and Natalie is proud of her new earrings. I don't know what I would do without these two...they truly keep me going. :]

I have been thinking about either converting this site into a family blog or creating a new one for the family and then keeping this for Natalie stuff. I just don't know if I could keep up with two blogs since I can barely keep up with this one. Any suggestions?

NATALIE GETS HER EARS PIERCED!

Natalie has been asking to have her ears pierced for a few weeks now and I was not sure she really wanted them. She would tell Cameron "Daddy, mommy won't let me have earrings!". I never told her she couldn't so I'm not sure where she got this from. My mom has been asking Emma if she wanted her ears pierced for a few years and she has been scared but when we told her that Natalie wanted her ears pierced I guess she decided that if Natalie was ready she should be ready too. So on Saturday, November 29th Natalie and Emma got their ears pierced. This is the video of Natalie getting her ears pierced. I will post the pictures later. I must say that we are very proud of her for not crying! This was a big step for our little girl. She's growing up so fast. I know I am very behind but I had to skip ahead for this post. :]

[Balloon Race Weekend]

I finally found the time to put together an update. It has been a while and I apologize. These collages are from Balloon Race weekend when me and Nat went home. I knew this would be something she would enjoy and as you can tell..she did!

Natalie at Balloon Races friday night on the Natchez side. She loves rides and she wasn't scared at all..just like her mommy!

Natalie & Emma got their pictures draw by "Red Bug"...thats what the man called himself and he was quite a character. I was surprised Natalie sat as long as she did. Emma did not care for him too much because she can't take a joke and he picked on her a lot! You can tell she was pouting in the second image.

We also had a family reunion on Saturday but I my mom took pictures with her camera since my battery died. I only have one picture of Natalie on my camera and she is eating a cupcake..I will post that later. Overall, this was a fun weekend and Natalie really enjoyed it!

Since we have moved down to Baton Rouge I have been searching for an inexpensive place to get my nails done and of course somebody I can trust to do a good job. Little did I know...she lives with me! Thats right, she is convenient and she does the job for free (somewhat)! What more could any lady ask for??

She's a silly little girl! As you can tell, her nails are painted...her rule is she will paint yours if you will return the favor! Not too bad, huh!

I must admit that she did a rather good job for a three year old. Yeah, the polish is on my fingers.. but I do that myself when I paint my nails!

This was such a fun experience for Natalie...I knew she would love painting my nails so I just had to let her give it a shot. Yes, I sported this fancy nail job for a week! Better book your appointments quick! :)

Tomorrow will be a special day for our family. This will be our first time to celebrate fall together in Baton Rouge. We are suprising Natalie with a trip to BOO at the ZOO. I think she is going to have a blast! We are also going to take her to the BOOzar at LSU on Wednesday...I have never heard of this before but is a yearly tradition at LSU that I hope we will be able to participate in each year. I think we will surprise Natalie with that event also because she is all for SURPRISES! Mimi, don't worry, she will be getting good use out of her "Abbey Caddaby Fairy Costume" as she calls it. Hopefully I can have pictures up tomorrow night from our trip to BOO at the ZOO. Stay tuned & enjoy the update!

Dryer Obsession?

Everytime I go to do laundry....Natalie insists on going. I find it hilarious that she loves to go with me. And the reason why is...she loves to clean the lint out of the dryers! She takes this so seriously. She has to go to every bottom dryer, pull out the lint catcher, emty it, put it back in the dryer, and slam the door shut. She won't leave without making sure each dryer is clean. I'm sure the other residents are thankful for this, right?!

I just love that she does this. While I am putting the clothes in the washers this is what keeps Natalie occupied. At first I wasnt sure I should let her do this but..why not! The sign says to clean them before and after but nobody ever does (so annoying) so Natalie makes sure it gets done. I cant help but watch her do this every time, this is her "job" and she gets so serious about it. She's gonna make a good wife! :]

More School Work for Natalie*

I think this "homework" was the most fun for us!

The instructions were to have a lunch with friends/animals or something like that, I can't exactly remember them correctly. So we went into Natalie's room and picked out the animals she wanted at her tea party/lunch...this is when I realized she doesnt actually have stuffed animals...I remember having several growing up! So we picked out her Mike the Tiger, her LSU cheerleader Bear, and a wooden Monkey cutout. Then I asked her what she wanted each animal to eat. We then drew the food, cut them out, and put them on plates for her to "feed" her animals lunch...well dinner in our case.

She is feeding the monkey fruit..she made a banana, apple, and orange for the fruit. She is feeding Mike the Tiger cheetos!
Now she is feeding the Bear grass, she made him grass and coconuts to eat.

She had so much fun doing this! It was funny to hear her decision on which food to make for her animals. But I thought she made good choices!

Overall Natalie and I enjoyed this. It was a good project and she enjoyed sharing it with her class.

Yes, Natalie does have homework at the age of 3! I think it is more for the parents to make sure they stay involved which I think is wonderful because we do have fun with it! Here is one of Natalie's first homework assignments.

Natalie's First LSU Game: LSU vs. North Texas- 9/13/08

I have to admit I was quite worried about taking her to the game, the original plan was for Cameron to go to the game and Natalie and I would come back home. Well when Natalie realized she was not going to the game with daddy...she was not happy about the plan. She insisted that she go to the game so I decided to give it a shot. I honestly thought this was going to be a rough experience but I thankfully I was very wrong.

She's a beautiful little tiger :)
She was out before we got to the game...So now I'm really thinking this is a bad idea. She is either in a great mood, a really bad mood, or a clingy mood when she wakes up...I was expecting the worst. Of course, she woke up in a great mood because she was overwhelmed with excitement about the big evening ahead!This was such a special time for Cameron as daddy. I'm not sure you can tell since I but this photo in black and white but it brought tears to his eyes! He just loved that Natalie would join in with every cheer and chant. She's a natural cheerleader I must say!

This is when I really regretted not bringing the camera Mimi gave me to use for capturing Nat's new experiences but I just knew it would be a hassle carrying the camera and Natalie. This is during one of the cheers. You can barely see Natalie doing just as her daddy is doing.
I knew she would enjoy a night in Tiger Stadium but I had no idea that she could be so enthused about this moment at such a young age.
Our First LSU game together!
She enjoyed getting on our shoulders during the game but we had to switch it up several times, she is quite the load!
While she was on our shoulders she would swirl our hair around, which did get annoying but it was cute at the same time. This was the best picture I could get of them, she just wanted to be silly!
" The Highlight of her evening!"
Natalie was extremely excited about Mike during the game, she would watch his every move and always point him out. So when daddy told her he would get Mike to take a picture with her she was so giddy! However....Mike jumped out of his break room and scared her to death, I wish I could have captured that moment and the terror in her eyes just so I could compare that with the look of happiness in this photo. After daddy told Natalie, "It's okay, he's nice." Natalie said "OKAY!", and she was ready for the photo! I love it!

The second highlight of Natalie's night is taking a piture with a LSU cheerleader! I wish I could have gotten a group of them, maybe next time! She is truly all smiles for this picture!

This is definately one of Natalie's new and exciting experiences in her new Tigerland. I'm so thankful that Mike and the LSU Cheerleader could make her night extra special. I know this will be an evening she will never forget. Most of all, I'm so thankful that we as a family could experience this together and share the excitement with her. I love this little girl with all my heart and soul.

So far So good-

Despite horrible traffic...this morning was great!

Natalie and I headed to school around 7:15 and we didn't arrive at her school until 8:15! So this is usually about a 15 to 30 minute drive but it took an hour today...very frustrating. I'm hoping that gets fixed soon. But the good news is...

Natalie let me put her down and she walked into class on her own today. I think this is a big step for her. Usually she makes me come in the classroom with her, put her at the table and feed her or just put her down. But today she grabbed her pillow and blanket (Diego this time!) and told me bye. I was so surprised considering I was expecting her to have to go through the transition again since she did not go to school all last week. Needless to say, my stay at TLC was very short this time...which is a good thing I guess. I would love to just stay and play or just watch her interact at school but as Natalie says.."You go to your school Mommy, and I go to MY school!".

I got back to the apartment at 9:30, grabbed my backpack and headed out the door since I do have a 9:30 class..thank goodness for the 10 minute "grace period".

DRAMA QUEEN?

After Natalie eats supper she gets a bath, then she gets dressed in her pjs and we read books. I ask Natalie to pick out four books...which usually leads to about 5 or 6! Then she rolls over and says "rub my back"...between her and Cameron I get tired of that phrase! But honestly I love it! Well if that doesnt get it she rolls back over and says "Sing mommy". And I dont have any talent for singing but she surely doesnt seem to mind, she loves it. Her favorite song at night now is "Hush little baby" but she calls it "Buy me a mocking bird".

Natalie has made up her own song to the tune of "Where is Thumbkin".

I should video it and put it on here some day but this is how it goes...

She starts off with either Nana or Mimi and continues to Papaw, Poppa, Emma, Cari, Precious, Rudy, and Mimi's kittens.

"Where's ol ___, Where's ol __, Where she/he at? Where she/he at? He/Her in Frogmore/Ferriday! He/Her in Frogmore/Ferriday! Yes he/her is! Yes he/her is!"

There are a few different variations...just depends on what she remembers that day. It's not perfect but I dont correct her because I think it is so CUTE!

I have so many stories to tell! I will find the time!

So here it is! Her first morning before school. I'm sure you all know that this was not an easy day for us or her. She was so excited about the idea of a new school, but not school itself. She cried for quite a while but when she sat down to eat we slipped out. The techer called later that day and let us know that she did just fine! We were so relieved. But Natalie cried Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Monday. Thankfully Tuesday was a change and she has not cried since! :) A happy girl makes us happy. Now she gets so excited about her "new school" as she calls it. She says that she likes it and likes to play with her friends. I think she is finally adjusting to the new Tigerland that was so scary for us all.

Today when Cameron and I picked Natalie up she was very excited and she told us.." I like my new school, and I like my friends, and I have fun and my new school. I like Baton Rouge and Mike the Tiger, and LSU!" She went on and on. It was so adorable. She can talk so well, it amazes me how much she knows at her age.

Well thats an update for now. Im working on more images for another update! Aren't ya proud! My transition into LSU has kept me busy and Im still in the learning process of all the internet sites and such that our professors use for lessons. Im sure when I learn what Im doing it will be easier and I will be able to keep this updated!

Natalie watching TV before she had to finish getting ready for her first day of school, she looks consumed...and she was, she loves her cartoons! This was before she got finished getting ready for school, she finally gave me a little smile :) Brushing her teeth with her Diego tooth brush! She was ready to go with her Dora blanket and pillow!

We made it!

Well we made it safely to Baton Rouge and into our new apartment (mine & Nat's first/ Cameron's second). But our first together! :) Anyway, we got the guys to bring everything up to apartment and the girls unloaded it. When Mimi and Poppa came Mimi took Natalie and Emma to the playground we have here at the complex. Things get done quicker without a 3 & 6 year old around!
After we got everything in place (somewhat) the girls went to WalMart to get a few things....well alot..and unfortunately it rained on us, or should i say it POURED! Needless to say, we were soaked carrying bags up to the third floor.
Later that night we ate, Natalie took a bath, we read books and she went to bed. I tried to stay up and get things done but I was exhausted from the long day.

August 19, 2008----Natalie's FIRST day of school!

I've decided to call it school instead of a daycare because it is much more of a school than anything else. It was a rough first day and we should have expected that. Of course after I left her she calmed down and danced her little heart out according to the manager of her school. She really does have a great time after she gets over the shock of being left.

On the way home she told me all sorts of stories from the day and what she ate for lunch. And when asked if she was ready to go back the next day she said she was...however, that is never the case the following morning when I took her to school. But yet again she had a blast.

I will have to update again with her funny stories and pictures. I am still trying to figure out this new picture editing software that I downloaded.

Sorry this is taking so long to get going, I know it will become easier when i figure this new computer and software out.

New Laptop :)

Okay so the good news is that I finally got my new laptop for school which means I have my own place to put all my pictures and I can easily upload them for the blog.

The bad news is that I dont have any pictures for this post, once again, Im sorry!

This blog will be mostly about Natalie's new experiences and she surely will have alot in a new home and city so of course there will plenty of pictures to come!

The days are flying by and Monday is going to be here before we know it. We still have alot of packing and getting ready to do but as always it will get done one way or another.

Im trying to decide if I want to create another blog for our family (like Jami did) or if I will share this space with Natalie. Im just not sure I will be able to manage them both? Help me out!

I wanted to go ahead and create an account for Natalie before we head to Baton Rouge. I'm going to try to really hard to keep this updated with Natalie's new experiences down in TIGER LAND! But bare with me because I am new to this so it will take some getting use to!

We will be moving into the married housing at LSU on the 18th of August so my first real post hopefully will be later that day or the next day.

No pictures for this post since I'm on my mom's computer...sorry! But i promise I will have plenty to come so keep looking! :)
